I know people have wondered about MRIs and I found out some good info today. First of all my doc scheduled me for an open MRI for tomorrow-- when they called to ask me some questions I spoke to the tech and asked if this was the best one for my diagnosis and he said definately not-- the magnet is not as strong as the closed-- and I also found out only two hours away is a facility that has MRI machines twice as good as the best in our town!! Apparently the higher the TESLA the better the MRI -- and I found a place that had a 3!! The place at the medical center takes my insurance so next Tues. I am getting one there. Also the tech said it is important that they order an MRI specifically for trigeminal neuralgia because there is a special protocol-- not just a cerebral MRI. So we have to be very proactive to get what we need!!!! Hope you are having some good painfree time today!!
