Hi all, I love this thread! JJ, love the "trigenital "thing, I will have to spring that on some of my punny friends!
Veteran, If you are still around, I absolutely love your arbor! I love all types of climbing plants. I am currently working on sanding and repainting an old beautiful wrought iron trellis arbor that a friend gave to me. Have an area near my patio dug up for it already, and some wisteria plants ready to go in next to it. Will send a picture when I get it in the ground in a few days. Would love to see if you have any updated pictures with the rosebushes in? I love climbing roses, but have not had great success yet with them. Sorry for the loss of your mother, it is a beautiful spot that you are creating for her ashes. I lost my father in February as well, my mom and I are going to be picking out a monument soon, and seeing that some perennial plants are planted near his gravesite.
I had to stifle full out laughter at work while I watched this video on a break. It felt so good to laugh really hard despite pain. http://www.newslinq.com/news-bloopers/
There is some bad language, but most is just funny.
I love laughing! We don't do it enough at work. I think productivity rates would go up worldwide if we all watched bloopers more often, and that blooper/funny kitten/dancing lions/etc watching was adminstered by the workplace. . I mean, we could get a shot when we convene for coffee in the morning, then a post-lunch hit, and then a three.thirty fix to avert the post lunch slump. i am going to recommend this to my next boss. In fact, I shouldappoint myself productivity manager right away. I think there even was a study on it...!
A few weeks ago, I went to an outdoors play, set in a beautiful park. That was just amazing. Big mansion at the rear, actors in full custome, a picnic, barely any people. Aren't you happy when you come across these brilliant things you never thought of before. (Oh, and if you do this in the UK, bring an umbrella!)
Tineline,
That sounds beautiful! I am sure it was an enjoyable way to spend the day. Thank you for sharing. It sounds like something I would enjoy as well but it must be quite a feat for the actors to project their voices outdoors! That would take a lot of talent.

Absolutely. They even sang amazingly beautiful, and played instruments! It was perfect. Hope everyone else are enjoying summer, wherever you are.
It is a beautiful way to memorialize your mother. The rose archway will be lovely.

I haven't been here for awhile , still struggling with what is now considered Cluster-Tic .But I worked all day yesterday getting this garden planted as a resting place for my Mothers ashes .
She passed away Feb. 17th . Her Birthday is coming May 15th .
She requested to be put in a rose garden and I built this arbor and surrounded it with climbing Roses.
Hopefully in couple of years this will be covered with the climbers .
I canned several jars of Tomatoe Thyme Bisque today from the organic tomatoes we grow in our garden. It was super delicious!

Sounds wonderful. The night before last as i was driving home i was accompanied by the northern lights, no colors just white horizon with streaks shooting up. Good company.
