I seem to be a lone wolf in my area as far as TN goes. I am trying to find other TNers and also create awareness of this disease and so was interviewed by our local paper. Below is the link to the article. As with most things related to media there are a few inaccuracies but overall a decent article. Now to wait for my fellow Tners.
Thank you, Patty, for helping to get the word out in your area! We have a small group getting together where I live but I live in a metropolitan area. I think it's important and helpful for everyone to get the word out in some way everywhere. I teach a spin class on October 7th and I plan to wear my teal and tell my class (some know) my story and about this awful disease. I'm dedicating that ride to TN Awareness.
Hi Patty,I agree also, how important it is to get the word out. My grandson ( he has lived me his whole 17 years) had made ribbons the last 2 years and passed them out. This year I have made such an improvement with tn that we are planning a small event this Oct.7 th.my daughter is making a lighted sign.We will try to light up at least my street. We are finishing up our teal fliers by attaching teal ribbons to them.I have stores right here in the part of Battle Creek where I have lived 75% of my life, willing to where teal, display posters and fliers, which is really cool! The Battle Creek Enquire News has been following my story since last nov. 10th and is continuing.TNNME will be posting pictures on her website.I have a poster waiting for me to finish. Wishing all the best day possible, dawn
