The most interesting non-TN-related thing you heard/saw/read/did today

Lol Scott! Thankyou for the share and the giggle :) Probably not so fun cleaning up.

That naughty bear! I have to add, was it this one?

LOL, could be, I will put out a picnic basket out tonight and see what happens :)

At the age of 52, I am working toward finishing my AA degree. I will have completed my second Accounting class in about one week! Should have another A, maybe a B, either way, I'm good with it. I'm going to make it, I'm almost there and it's something to feel good about. And believe me, Accounting is NOT my thing! It just fit for me after working in fraud for six years. With my short-term memory problems, it's an even bigger accomplishment!

Love the Bear!

The apartment building I live in is going through a massive building rehab project. A temporary wall was put into my apartment, and the original wall is now gone. I do mean gone. Nothing left. Even the metal studs holding things in place are gone. Recently broke up with the boyfriend of four years as well. Thing is, today I spent a good part of the day setting up the apartment the way I want it. Putting my pretties back out, after the confusion of the construction start. The things the ex has yet to move out, are going into boxes. Making my place my own!

people with bears and without walls! What amazing lives you lead! Seriously, Scott, bears? where do you live? In Norway we have about 30 bears left or so - they all run over to Sweden where they won't get shot... Smart animals, bears. You would think it could have made an effort with the gate. :

Yes you would think so,lol I live in the northwest of Washington state and live out in the country. nearest store is 20 miles away. Nice and peaceful and lots of different wildlife around. Some say I live in the middle of nowhere, they may be right.lol

Sounds like heaven to me. Makes me miss my log cabin on a lake in the Norwegian mountains. Only 20 km to the store though. Haha. A few years ago, a massive forest bird crashed into the wall, we didn't have to go shopping that day! I am thinking of expanding...
Tonight we had a super choir concert with my soul choir. The first not-work-related input I had all week. So much fun, great band, lots of people. I want more of that!

This is a great post. As a newbie adjusting to meds it’s reassuring to see that you can live a normal life. Thank you.

Yesterday while planting potatoes in the garden we found that we had a little helper named auggie, he also defended his job from his brothers, we had a good laugh watching him. My daughter took a video of him and you can watch on the utube link, I hope

Yay! I am so jealous of the country-living. Or wilderness, rather! Susan, we are all just a bunch of normal peeps. :-)

Never a dull moment at my place. This morning my 25 year old cat ambushed (not the first time) my daughters 80 pound boxer and sent her yipping , slipping and sliding across the floor and out the door. Ahh simple pleasures are the best. :)

Ok. I hope this is not against the rules.
I love to laugh but this one was a little unexpected .
A little trigeminal humor if you will :
I was explaining to my father what is going on with my face nerves and I said
" Dad, I have triGENITAL neuralgia"
Oops !!!
Any Freudians in the house ?

Humm, can we whoops?

Heh, so glad i don't have THAT!

Great to hear about everyone’s lives outside of TN! This week I have been interested in the Aurora Australis (like the northern lights). Usually only seen from the southernmost part of Australia, (Tasmania)this week the solar wind has been strong enough to create lights visible from areas much closer to my home just south of Sydney.
Tomorrow morning I will be up at 5am to go to the lighthouse hill and hope to catch a glimpse of colour in the southern sky. This link is for a spectacular photo taken about 40 miles from my home.

WOW Duckie, that photo was AWESOME!! I am so glad you posted it. Not even close but right now I am looking out my door watching the sky we are expecting a big thunderstorm, that would be so cool I really like storms, when they don’t cause damage.I just like to watch the lighting in the sky and the sound of thunder,it also makes me feel better. It is just raining pretty hard right now so far just looking like a dark dreary morning but, here in mi. anything could happen! (lol) My son lives in G.R. mi. and he just happens to be like his mom (ha ha!) he caught a cool pic last week when we had weather almost like this. The sun in the back then a white cloud in front and then a black cloud in front of that moving slowly and last rain in front of that! This was COOL no way to post it, yours was SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFOFE! LOVED IT! THANKS, dawn

Aurora Australis, of course! I grew up in an area of Norway where Northern lights are reasonably common, but I haven't seen them real good for many years now. They re truly magical! Sometimes I just cannot remember why I came to England where I currently live (ok yeah, they gave me money). The immense magic of icy cold air, crunching snow under your boots, the smell of woodfires...and the northern lights against the starlit sky. I truly, truly miss Norway.

And my biggest super input today was that I am now the proud owner of my own mountain cabin in the Norwegian mountains! yay!

And Dawn, I just love big weather, too!

I love big weather too! Wild thunderstorms, we open the curtains wide and watch all the Lightning strikes. But I don’t like cold wind.

I like wind, especially from a sheltered place. ;-)

I had the best read today: Pride and prejudice in manga (cartoon) version! I tried reading the book once, but stopped because it was so dull. But a cartoon can't be all conversations (the dull part when they read over 20 pages), so I loved it! Listening to the audiobook now with renewed enthusiasm!

Next is the cartoon version of Gulliver's travels, which I love anyways. :D
