Here is mine. I look forward to learning more about the rest of ya'll.
Where do you currently live? Right now I live in the itty-bitty town Aumsville. That is located in the beautiful wet state of Oregon.
What other cites, states, countries have lived before? I have also lived in Washington (the state), and in San Diego CA.
Where did you grow up? I grew up on Vashon Island. It’s a tiny little island in the middle of the Puget Sound.
Is there anything of interest of where you grew up at, where you currently live, or have lived in the past? There are numerous interesting points of where I grew up. For starters it’s an island. The only way on or off is by ferryboat. The infamous bicycle tree is also located there. The story circling the web about a WWII solider leaving the bike there is not fact. It’s debatable about who and how the bike got there.
Six months after my husband and I move our family up to Oregon, the small little town was hit by an F2 tornado. It’s crazy we were looking forward to stormy days, rain, and snow after living in San Diego for seven years. Instead a freak tornado touch down and ripped thru the town. We were extremely lucky and had no damage from it.
What was your best vacation? This was most likely taking our oldest daughter to Disney Land for her fifth birthday. That was just awesome it was both (my daughter and mine) of our’s first time going to Disney Land, just an awesome weekend. She still talks about it to this day.
What places have you seen or gone to? As a kid my family would cram into the RV and go to Montana for a month. Both of my parents are from there. We spend this time all over the Flathead Valley. It is just gorgeous. I’m always trying to talk my hubby into moving there.
Three years ago we along with my in-laws and sister in-law’s family took a weeklong cruise to Mexico. It was but crazy. Just my husband and I have taken trips to Las Vegas, and Palm Springs.
Are there other places you would like to go see? Really we want to go to France, Italy, Japan, Rome, and few other places in Europe. New York, Maine, Disney World, Yellow Stone, is also on the list of places to go see some day.
Do you have kids or grandchildren? Yes to kids. I’ve got years before I have any grand kids.
If so how many? We have two girls, ages 12 years old and a 3 year old.
Do you have pets, what critters do you have? We have two dogs. A sweet Boston Terrier named Ella Cabella. She is also spunky and quirky. She loves to play fetch and never gets tired of playing. This last fall we got our eldest daughter a longhaired Dachshunds AKA a wiener dog or hot dog. She is so funny with her short stubby legs. She is also a big fan of playing fetch. Both dogs are spoiled rotten, sleep in our beds, and are city dogs, as they both love to wear sweaters. This is especially true for Ella as she goes crazy if you ask her if she wants her sweater.
What hobbies do you have? I love baking sweets. The particular favorite is mocha cream tort. Making the mousse is the best and tastiest part.
Gardening is another enjoyment. Yesterday I started about ten different packs of flower seeds. I’m not sure how well I’ll do on this. A few weeks ago I started some pumpkin seeds (I’ve got about 30 pumpkin plants now), and some cosmos (there’s over 40 plants of these now). I’ve got to get the front yard weeded so there will be room to plant the seedlings. My hope is to have a colorful front yard full of flowers to enjoy late this year or next year.
It’s not really a hobby more of an obsession is photography. I have been going to school getting my Bachelors in Photography for the last year and half. I also need to set up my studio. I shoot in both digital and analog (film). Right now I’m on a break from school, and a forced break from my camera. Too worried I’ll damage a lens or one of my cameras when I have a particular bad pain episode.
Favorite grub you love to chow down on. Homemade mac n cheese is my all time favorite. Good cheeses are up there too. Rib-eye steak is a favorite I miss right now. Too much chewing involved in eating this right now.
Favorite music group, genre, or song? I like a little of everything from punk rock to classical. Most people are surprised that my music library includes classic country, rock, punk, classical, indie, some pop, old school rap, oldies, folk, and some old timey music. It depends on my mood on what I will be listening to.
Is there a movie or movies that you could watch over and over again? The Big Lebowski, Cold Mountain. The Other Marie Antoinette, Singing In the Rain, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Monty Python and The Meaning of Life, are just a few to name.
Favorite color? Pink, if I could get away with it I’d have my whole house colored in pink.
Anything else you want to add about your self? I have been on FMLA for about a month and half now, with another month to go. I feel like I’m climbing the walls. Usually I work full time and got to school full time (but this will be changing to part time). I’m pretty big goof ball when not in horrible pain.
