My TN went into remission for 6 months and now has been back for two weeks. Anybody here in this forum know a Neurologist that knows well about this disease, please let me know. Last year I had Dr Joseph Vaughn (neurologist) at UT Southwestern in Dallas, but since I switched my insurance from Aetna to United Health Care, UT Southwestern does not accept my new insurance policy. I also have UHC and my neurologist in Fort Worth is Dr. Charles Marable. I hope this helps. He has been treating me for my TN since '08. Good luck to you!

How was your experience with Dr Vaughn?? I have an appt in May at UTSW and they scheduled me with a memory specialist. I was thinking I would call back and see if I could get in with Dr Vaughn. Just curious your opinion of him. I've heard good and bad!!

It was a pleasant meeting. He spent time listening, talking and discussing about my situation. Unfortunately, at that time of my appointment, my TN went into remission, so he did not want to do any unnecessary treatment, just gave me a follow-up appointment this coming November or whenever the problem comes back.
