Health Warehouse Pharmacy

As I have stated before I am uninsured, so when it comes to getting meds, it can be quite something for me. I have a drug discount card. I was hoping the Tegretol would have worked, as it was on the 4.00 Target list. But, alas, it did not. Then I was given Gabapentin. My drug discount card dropped the price from 119.00 to 30.53. However, when I went to refill, it was going to be 125.00! Um, yeah, not going to happen.

Anyway, I called every pharmacy in town, and it varied by about 15.00 each way. Target, my pharmacy, was one of the cheaper ones in town.

That led me to the internet. I was worried about ordering off the internet, but did some research and found that the FDA has certified 17 pharmacies to do business. If you order from the internet, it will show a VIPPS symbol that shows it is legit.

Since the doctor is increasing the dosage of gabapentin for me, it is going up again quite a bit. However, Health Warehouse ships for free what was going to cost me over 150.00, I got for 35.00.

They called my pharmacy, who transferred it. It took 3 business days, and then they shipped it to me. I asked for expedited the first time because I was almost out, so I got two day shipping for 15.00... still a HUGE saving. I received the pills today and everything is in great order! Plus, I could track the process online to see where the status was at.

Anyway, if anyone else has uninsured and cost issues, you might want to check them out.

Great lead…thanks, Lisa!

Wow. You make me really grateful that I live in the uk and get my prescriptios for free. I think I’m going to stop complaining about the national health service now

Yes, they are expensive. I have a new medication now........ 175.00. I got it for 60 because of a discount card. I am going to have it transferred to Healthwarehouse again as it is 36.00.

Walgreens now has a program too. I bought it and now get my gabapentin for 12.00. Much better!

Thanks for sharing, Lisa. It's good information to know. I'm currently insured, but you never know, and it's good to have somewhere to send other people I meet who are in your situation.

If they ever try to switch your Neurontin (gabapentin) to Lyrica, it's really, really expensive. Just a warning because those two are similar and sometimes doctors will try and switch between the two.
