Help with your Meds

Pain creeping up again! I hate this TN so bad! I’m trying to stay positive but it’s really hard. Doc gave another Med. so expensive. Did u know if u go on the website of company that makes many of your medicine, u can print discount card? Darn! I just got a card to get 60.00 off each refill until 9-13 and then get a new card on company’s website. I did not use on last 2, I did not know. If just a refill, pharmacy knows and stores the information in your account, but if doc writes new script each month, u need to show card again.

Thanks Daryla for the tip on saving money!

Daryla,

I’m sorry your having a bad day. I had no idea about the discounts you speak of. I will definitely be checking that out. Most of my meds are covered but I pay about $260 a month for Gralise (better than the $450ish I was paying for Topamax!!). Good info so thanks for sharing.

I hope you feel better soon!

U r welcome. even with insurance, pharmacy still uses coupons. They like to get before they fill or they have to redo order if pre authorization is needed. I know I already said that but that caused me a lot of time because I waited to show until end of transaction. Another example, my husband needed Rosacea meds. I had a rebate every fill to mail in. Almost made med free. Also, if someone is struggling, no insurance, call drug rep yourself. Many times they help so u can get your med. I thought Gralise form was new Gabapentin been around a long time and is cheap. I think they remarked under new names to get high cost before patent runs out. ?

Some drug manufactures differ on the coupon gig. So check out in plenty of time before you next refill. Phifizer for example no longer does coupons. You have to bring a form from their website and have the prescribing doctor fill it out and send it to them to receive a discount. At least this what I noticed when I went to get a coupon this last spring for my now pricey Lyrica (my employer change insurance and wham! It went from 40 up to 200 smackers because Lyrica is not on their approved list, all of which I’m unable to take. Sorry for that interruption we now take you back to subject of this topic) And don’t you know printing that dang form out and taking it with me to the appointment is something I always forget. Also read carefully all of the blah blahs on the coupon.
