Can anyone help me to understand these headaches? They are R sided only. And this is a daily occurrence. I am getting to the point where I want to run screaming and pulling my hair out! The Lyrica is helping with the TN but what is causing these headaches and why can’t the docs give me something to stop this pain. I have been trying to track when they seem worse. Today it is cloudy outside and we have a slight chance of rain. I know barometric pressure changes can cause headaches, but I’ve never had this kind of headache until all this TN stuff started happening. If it it barometric headache, does that mean it is in my sinuses? Is there anything I can do to ease the pain excedrin doesn’t help. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Which one of my many doctors do I see about this? I can’t stand it anymore!!!
Hi, have you tried just 2 Advil? That has always worked for me…
Could the headaches be a side effect of the Lyrica?
You can see any one of your doctors I imagine.
Hope you find relief soon.
(( hugs )) Mimi
I have been getting headaches on my TN side across my forehead and the only thing that will fix it is going to sleep and sleep it off or take a narcotic :/ Some migraine medications interact with anticonvulsants so make sure anything you have is compatible with your current medication :)
Wow, Thanks ladies! I appreciate all the info. I got a clean bill of health from the opthalmologist today , so I am left to assume it is something with my sinuses and the barometric pressure, the Lyrica itself, and after speaking to the Pharmacist today it may even be from the caffeine in the Excedrine. I did buy some Aleve today and will take it when it is safe to. I guess it is just frustrating when you are in pain and nothing helps. It really helps to discuss it with people who have experienced the same thing. I will post tomorrow, lets keep our fingers crossed that it will be a simple fix. Thank you again!
Hi I went to see a consultant this week and he gave me an ocipital nerve block injection....to help with the headaches from ocipital neuralgia. It was quick and only moderately uncomfortable and no side effects after the first evening. I am in the UK but it may be an avenue to explore good luck Karen
Hi Karen, hope the headache has improved.
This is probably no help but try to make sure you are well hydrated, a neuro I had years ago was always talking about the importance of drinking water. He suffered from terrible migraines himself and insisted drinking lots of water helped him. I never noticed much difference but might be worth a try.
If you can’t get in to see your neuro would your family doctor make a phone call on your behalf, I have found this s great way to get instant advice when I can’t get an appointment.
Hope you are feeling better, migraines and headaches are so debilitating.
Hugs
Trish.

i am so sorry to hear about your headaches too. i have them also they start in my forehead they move across to my right eye then it becomes major pressue to the point of vomiting which makes the pressure worse if that's possible, riht now the lyrica seems to be keeping them at bay. your in my prayers GoD bless!!!!!
Thank you everyone for your suggestions, and for sharing your stories. I feel for everyone of you. Today I made an appt with my regular family doc (since my Neuro is 4 hrs away). She has alway been very good about doing whatever she can to help in any situation. So I am hoping that she can at least give me something for the pain, until I get in at the Neuro office. However I am awaiting a phone call from their office to let me know if they will be calling in an Rx or need me to make yet another appt. I had never heard of an Occipital nerve block, I may look into that. And I will also check on Klonapin, again, coming from a newbie to all this, I thank you all. Stay in touch and I will post as to what happens today.
