TN Pain + Migraine = SUPER OUCH!

My pain over the last few days has ranged anywhere from a 4-8 on a scale from 1-10. Yesterday, while taking the kids to school, I started having problems with my left eye. It looked like I was looking through prisms and felt dry and it hurt to blink. It lasted for about 30 minutes. I was finally able to reach my neurologist's office and the nurse said it sounded like something connected more to a migraine than TN. I have had severe headaches since I was about 8 or 9. I have never been to a dr. before concerning this...I have always just dealt with it. The dr. wanted to prescribe me Ultram, but I declined...at least for now. I just don't know about getting on another med, but the idea of taking something that could help really sounds good to me. These headaches that I have always had feel like something is being pulled tightly around my head. I can't lay down because it hurts worse, so I just pace the floor until the nausea hits. After I throw up a few times it normally feels like the pressure in my head has been released. It usually takes a day or 2 to recover. They did prescribe me something to take for the nausea. The last few days have been exhausting between headaches and TN pain. The dr. did up my Lyrica too. I am now taking 100mg 3 times a day. Can anyone tell me if there is a migraine group on this site? I have looked, but can't find one.

Much love and peace to you all!

I have not found one either. I and a few others suffer from migraines as well. Sounds like a good idea though. Migraines AND TN is a nightmare. Send me a message if you ever need to compare notes. I’ve suffered from chronic daily migraines since 2002.

I take Trileptal 1200mg per day and 100mg per day for migraine preventative. Works well for me. I also take 75 mg of Effexor for pain too.
