There have been times in my life I thought I may faint for various reasons: nervous, headache pain, ovary pain, etc... But today I am certain I am headed towards fainting if I push myself any more physically. My glosso. nerve has been irritated this week and I have had severe vascular pain issues for the past month that the docs are trying to figure out (the heart itself is ok, they have yet to investigate any arteries. ). Maybe I have a disk slipped...? Or, I have a second bout of thoracic outlet syndrome to deal with. I did read that glosso neuralgia can lead to fainting-- has anyone else had this happen? It feels like electricity shooting through my limbs, my vision is grey, ears ringing, flushed/ hot dry skin and I am about to vomit.... Can't decide if I should go to er or go to bed...
If you're having shooting pain in your extremities, then something besides the occipital nerve is likely involved. Slipped disk is one possibility, though there are any number of others. This subject has come up on the board before. Suggest you run a search on "fainting" in our top-right search box.
