My dr suggested it but never have tried it!! Let me know if you do!!
I would also -- if I were to go for it --- FIRST print out a map of trigeminal nerves!!!! to take with you
I had good temporary results with my 2nd and 3rd acupuncture therapist. The 1st doctor I visited 4 or 5 times made my condition worse, although this may in fact have meant that the procedure was working! But my whole face got so sensitive by my last appointment that I wasn't willing to find out if this was the case. After that I took a break for a couple of months and decided to give acu. another shot. This time round I was happy with the results, sometimes I got relief for a whole day which hadnt happened before (it may be a coincidence but I believe it truly was doing "something"). The downside was the cost, so I stopped going and then found a cheaper, Chinese, doctor who combined acupuncture and moxa (?) and my condition improved again. I never got completely rid of the ATN pain using acupuncture though; it takes time, money and lots of patience... and there is no 100% guarantee you'll be pain free after x treatments or in x months/years... I found that acupuncture helped me best when my pain was more acute than my usual lingering, boring pain.
About this boring pain, is killing me right now I don’t feel like doing anything, I don’t even want to get out of bed and to make it worse I work overnight so between the noise, the sunlight and the pain I can barely get any sleep so is obvious that when it is time to go to work the pain is worse I’m tired suffering and not in the mood.

I tried acupuncture along with some horrible tasting Chinese herbal mixtures. The only positive result I experienced was when I was lying on the table listening to soothing music. I quit after seven sessions because it was expensive and I really didn't notice any improvement.
