What If I Can't Afford To See My Neuro?

[This is my last post for a long time. I promise. I know I've been asking a lot of unnecessary questions but this one is the most important.]

I'm an unemployed college student. Getting a job is out of the question as of right now due to the extreme side effects of the Carbamazepine [I'm starting to get really depressed, even having thoughts I shouldn't be having]

I may have insurance, but that still leaves a co-pay which I can't afford if I were to call him and have him see me a.s.a.p because I have another appt. with him at the end of October in which my mom is going to help me pay as a "birthday present" to me.

I owe my PCP 200 something for all of the lab work she has done on me in the past and I'm feeling rather lost at the moment.

The hospital is beginning to look at me like a freak, I can't afford to see a Pain Management specialist and I have a script for another refill of Carbamazepine, but I can't go through this depression anymore. It's really upsetting my girlfriend and it's making me think things I don't want to be thinking.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what someone in my situation can do? I need to get this adjusted, but at the same time, I can't afford to see my neuro twice in one month.

[he also won't see me without paying. he's kind of a butthole]

Thank you for any responses or advice because I'm on my last straw with this.

Taylor, follow the link below to see if there is any help available to you, all the best.

your questions are Never Ever

Unnecessary!

Have you asked anybody for a tube of lidocaine cream? I think affordable and helpful right now --- just see if they will call it in!

Taylor,

If you are having suicidal thoughts, go immediately to an ER and tell them so. They have to treat you. Remember...storms past and you can NEVER get your time back here if you end your life. NEVER! Life has so much in store for you...lots of good stuff.

Like Jackie said, go to Reds site or call your local welfare office and ask them if you might get help. Don't give up. Relief is around the corner.

I just don't want to go through getting psychiatric help again through a hospital. I had to stay a minimum of 72 hrs and it was horrible. i never want to go through it again. Thank you so much for the reply.
