We have all been there. Full blownTN crisis. I am stuck at home and really trying to avoid a trip to the ER, as it costs me $200 per visit, and my last visit was just two weeks ago. Going to PCP tomorrow as well. But first I need to get through the night, and that iswhere I am asking for help. So far Ive had 800mg of carbamazepine, two 7/325 Norco, four 5/325 oxycodone, 120mg Cymbalta, and 25 mg promethazine, also one puff of medical marijuana. I really don’t want to take anything more. Have rubbed Capzasin on the area, tried ice, and am now sitting with a heating pad on the area. Still no relief. It is so had I cannt do a thing with my mouth. Any suggestuons as to what Ican try from home? The one catch is I really cant drive anywhere- not clear headed.
Thanks in advance for the help:-*

I think you've tried as much as you can on your own -- if you're going to add anything else on top of that, you probably need to be monitored, just in case. So I would get a ride to the ER or just try to ride it out. Sorry I don't have any other ideas, but this is what the ER is for.
I agree with mac,you tried.I know its very expensive going to the E.R. but if you dont get feeling any better have someone take you.I will be praying for you
are you still out there? That is ALOT of meds-- please don't take anymore unless at ER
You have done all you can do I believe
Can you call somebody to sit with you?
It may be a case of having to ride it out. I've had pain all day despite taking narcotics and my usual anticonvulsant. I'm not sure what else ERs usually do - the last time I went specifically for TN was when they diagnosed me and they didn't give me anything that I couldn't have at home nowdays (oxycodone caps and started me on anticonvulsants). No intravenous pain relief or anything like that. What do ERs give TN patients in the US and Canada? I've sat at home crying because I don't think I'd get anything different here :/
After not sleeping much, i am doing better. Thank God Im off today. Sending my daughter off to school and going back to bed. Thanks for the help!
