No relief

I think sometimes that I just cannot do this anymore. Added methyl prednisone today. The pain is beyond anything I have ever experienced. Became hysterical and wanted to go to the ER. Upped Trileptal to 600mg. Had to quit the Neurontin due to mouth sores. My gums were on fire. Add ed Xanex and Percocet every three hours. Eating is out now. Talking is out too. It’s 1:00 am and I’m trying to figure out some kind of game plan here. Is an anesthesiologist the best approach for pain management? Wish that I could rest. I know my panic is exacerbating the situation. Is there a stronger pain med than Percocet? It is not doing the job.

I know we are all different, but pain meds don't seem to do the job for many. I I would get up with a neurologist that knows about TN, it can take some time to find the right one. It is a panic feeling to have this pain, if you need to go to the ER, make sure you take the print out here about TN incase the Dr's there don't get it. You deserve relief and some rest and peace. I always wish I had magical words or suggestions, TN just down right sucks, but you can keep on and find help, praying for you and thinking of you,

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain and I am praying you have some relief today. Your neurologist is the best person to talk to about pain relief. There are so many meds out there but unfortunately they are not very successful on pain from TN. I can tell you from experience that anxiety will make the condition and pain worse so you may want an antianxiety med too. Maybe stronger xanex or lyrica, which is usually an antidepressant but can help relieve some nerve pain. Percocet does nothing for me and my doctor said it could actually worsen the nerve pain. If you had to quit Neurontin you may want to ask what else you can take maybe tegretol or amitriptyline. I am not a doctor but I've been on a lot of different meds! I wish you relief from pain and I will be praying for you!
