Should I change from tegretol to trileptal…not sure what to do
I made a list of favorite meds from here -- over a time of 2+ years!
Print off and do some research here -- put the med in the search box,
Ask pharmacist about side effects
Then you and your doctor decide... Tegretol and trileptal are cousins..... but here is the link:
Many thanks will do some research …tegretol effects pretty bad at times but dont want to swap for somthing worse.

Five years ago I was switched from Tegretol to Trileptal. This August Lamicaal was added to the TrileptaI which has been affective for me. I have had good results with Trileptal, but I know everyone reacts differently.

I switched from Tegretol to Trileptal after 4 days as couldn't function on the Tegretol. So far, all is good and pain free.
I lowered my trileptal because I hated it!!!! So I got Lidocaine 5% face patches and cream. My doctor gave them to me and it worked for hours!
Apparently you can buy the cream on amazon! It might help you, as it has helped many. I like the patches better because you don't have to keep putting them on all day, but I used both - not together - off and on for up to 12 hours per day!
