What does tegretol rash look like

I'm on 600 mg daily of tegretol daily for about 3 months with excellent results, no pain and only side effect now is mild drowsiness. So naturally, I don't want to have to get off this successful med. Just yesterday, I noticed a reddish itchy patch just above and below the small beard on the end of my chin. It's just a reddish patch and not a bumpy sort of rash and that's the only location.

I wonder if anyone with experience or knowledge can tell me what the tegretol rash looks like. Does it start on one small area and spread? Does it start as a reddish patch. Is it likely to start 3 months after being on tegretaol? Or any other info that might help. I know that the tegretol rash can be dangerous, so I'm hoping that this has nothing to do with tegretol. Any inforfmation about the rash how it starts and what it looks like would be most appreciated.

I would run not walk to pharmacist --- they are very under - utilized ---- they will be able to give a good answer

Also, for fun - NOT -- google images -- Tegretol rash

I suffered badly with tegretol rash and had to come off the drug when i was pain free :( it started on my arm and spread to both arms and legs it a red rash but its just little red blisters but mm's size, like prickly heat, i also got it on my chest, and tiny purple bruises,

if you need more info let me know as i had a really bad reaction to teg so feel free to mesage me :)

Thanks for your reply, Wolfe. Just a couple of quick questions. Did the rash ever appear on your face? And how long did it take to spread after your first noticed it?

I googled it and they are described as "pinpoint sized red spots on your skin". I hope you aren't allergic to it.
