I've spent ten months on my self-help programme of muscle exercises and trigger-point therapy for spasms. There have been ups and downs but generally things are much better. However, lately I've been "stuck", still getting pain when I eat.
Last week I made two breakthroughs. One was to realise that as there are 17 muscles on each side of the face I need to exercise more than just the jaw. The other was the discovery [by poking fingers in my back] that the muscle tensions extend all the way down to my waist....so more trigger points to press.
Things are improving again & I'm waiting for a book on myofascial release which I hope will help still further...........and I can smile properly now.
