Up until a few weeks ago I could not sit for more than a few minutes without my jaw going into spasm, now, thanks to myotherapy, I'm able to sit where and whenever I want.
I've managed to erase all the painful trigger points in my neck and inside my mouth [not an easy or painless operation]. The last hurdle was sorting out the points on the upper side of my head on the temporalis muscle which controls the jaw. Attempts to clear this only resulted in more pain in the jaw. No wonder, at a routine visit to the chiropracter yesterday she found the mandible to be out of line. She put it back and I feel so much better today.
Next week is the last visit to the physiotherapist. I'm cutting down on amitriptyline but still continuing the TMJ exercises I've been doing for 6 months. I 've been ambushed by TN too many times to think that the end is in sight but I'm grateful for this window of peace.
