Hi, I had bad TMJ when I was in my 20s. I had to where a night splint & a day splint. It was a hard resin type. So I could not close my mouth at night. The day splint brought my jaw forward. I hated wearing them! But the treatment worked well. Although I had to visit the orthodontist weekly for adjustments. I remember having some kind of procedure where the doctor injected dye & x ray showed up on the screen. I then went on to have my wisdome teeth removed. But I’m now in my forties & I still have a bit of TMJ with the clicking & popping & pain etc. I then got TN in 2010.
