I am new here. Thanks for being here. Has anyone tried a topical cream from a pharm. co. in Alabama? Does it work at all?
Lidocane cream - or lidocaine patches are prescription and work for many
A specialty pharmacy would make a prescription from your doc -- ask them to put lidocaine and ketamine
Some people have tried Icy Hot or Capsacin over the counter with mixed results.
Hope that helps!
Thank you. My copay is $80.00 for each month. I can't afford that, but I guess I am willing to try if it even brought 1 DAY of relief.
Topical lidocane prescription face cream MUCH cheaper than prescription lidocaine patches
Lidocaine prescription on my face - of both types saved/saves my sanity!!!
Good luck and also:
go to the groups tab above - and find the group that I think is called something like topical medicine group or something -- you can read stuff there - or sign up and join that group and ask questions : )
Icy Hot or Capsacin didn't work. My prescription has ketamine, baclofen, gabapentin, amitryplyline, clonidin and bupivacaine. It's my first day now. We shall see. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your reply.

My pain management Dr. gave me a script similar to lulu's. (it is listed on my profile) I had to have it made at an Apothecary in Pensacola ,Fl.. I had a different version a few years ago from a Neurologist in Mayo Clinic Jacksonville but it was just Ketamine which didnt help much it was 50.00 copay with insurance. It came in a pump like think similar to toothpaste. My new Dr. gave me a script for the "Combo" mix of stuff, same price but to my suprise when it was shipped to me I opened the box and there was 4 pump containers in it. It definitely has helped with the surface pain issues but not the deep pain. (any relief is welcome here). .........All that being said if it works make sure to get your Dr. to write the script for a large quantity, She said I could put it on anything that hurts from head to toe (I also have back issues). I guess that it why she wrote it for so much.......... I dont think I can use this much in a year. Anybody need some? LOL
Anyone found relief from the compound pain creams with ketamine, baclofen, gabapentin, amitriptyline, clonidine, bupivacaine , I have burning forehead and scalp pain and want to stop klonopin that has helped with burning pain Krissy
I’m in Canada , bought a cream called “emla” over the counter, works great! Comes with patches as well, small tube was around 15$.
I use ketamine 10% and a cream Gallixa. Instead of some of the other pills.
My doc gave me a script for lidocaine cream-- but after I paid $60.00 and tried it i found out it was the wrong kind-- it was only for mucous membranes and did not work on "intact" skin.(said so in the insert) So be sure whatever you get it is for regular skin!!
Here in US EMLA IS RX. : (

I found no relief from it but I still put it on during a full blown attack (for some reason)
