OK - this is a new one for me! I have had TN on the left side, a failed Gamma Knife, and an MVD about 2 years ago that took away the shocks, but left other problems. The last two days have started with electrical type shocks to the left side of my tongue. This is very painful! Has anyone heard of this? Any suggestions on how to handle this? Any suggestions on where to research it? Thank you!
My tongue will sometimes hurt with the TN pain. I put lidocaine solution on it and it helps.
Yes I have this, and actually I tend to bite down on my tongue when it occurs, it helps minimize the pain. Weird I know. But that’s the nature of this beast.
My toungue was my number one pain site for the last few months of pain. It felt like it was being hacked with a meat cleaver or was painfully numb.
Good to know that others have had problems with the tongue. It was new to me after all I have been through. Now I know that it is just part of this story line. I appreciate your comments! Thank you!
