TN on the doctors show

Im glad for the recognition but they claim the MVD surgery is a “cure”. I wish they wouldnt have said that. They really should take back that statement or go into more detail about TN. her situation was the result of prior ear surgery but they didnt go into the people that have TN without explination

Send them feedback with a reputable source…not a cure!

I have given them info so that they might get better educated with the topic TN in hopes that they may do a more in depth segment. One such source i gave them was Dr Kenneth Casey

Ugh, the media is love hate deal for me. I love that tn is being brought up but I seriously hate the bad information. Such as MVD is the cure or all the person had to do is take such and such medication, and lastly that opioids never work for fighting the pain of TN. Just a little research would show there is no current cure, that each case is idviualized, and that there are different types such as type one and two or post whatever I can’t remember, and that the cause is still unknown in the majority of cases. I wish producers or writers would look for more than just one person and high lighting them as being cured. It also bugs me that the person with tn being interviewed never seems to correct or point out simple things such as an MVD is not a cure, and not everyone will have the same results or that not everyone will be a canadite for an MVD (such as my self). I fear for people whom watched or read these arrticals and one day may be going down this tangled journey that we all know and they don’t have the correct facts and end up very frustrated and desperate for the mirrical cure.

Ochie-booboo thank you for sending them some good information on TN.
