Hi Barb... I have TN along with Occipital Neuralgia and geniculate Neuralgia. Along with all the medications I am on, I had a botox injection in my upper shoulder, back and lower skull. And I have to say that it has brought me great relief. It was rough at first as he gave me a little too much botox and I was like a bobble head for about 10 days and had to wear a cervical collar. But after all the dust has settled, I really believe it helped. I had mine in early December and am just now noticing that it is wearing off. I think in probably another month. I'll have him give me another round of injections. I am also told that the positive reaction to the botox shows that I would be a good candidate for decompression surgery if and when I decide to go that route.
