So, today, I went to see my neurosurgeon, for the 1st time, Dr. Troy Gust, and his hottie PA, Brett! Wow! We had a great chat! Plus, he's hot, so that helped!!! ;) Anyway, his suggestion right now is to NOT do the MVD!!! He said I was too young! (Thank you very much for that Dr. Gust!) He said he actually would recommend the glycerol injection. It is way less invasive, and he has seen great results with the procedure. Plus, it would only mean a couple days off of work, he thinks. I've clearly tried & failed several treatments of medications (which I only have side effects with anyway), so he said, go home, talk to your family & TN family, and call me next week with your decision. SO, anyone had this procedure? I don't know a lot about it, I need to do some reading up.
ALSO---why is it that you CAN'T get an appt with a Neurologist when your pain is 9/10, but when your pain is at 1/10, they can get you in? Well, that's the good news! My pain is very low, hardly any, as a matter of fact! (Knock on wood!) I had lost about 9 pounds the last 2 weeks being on my liquid diet, however, I'm pretty sure I gained that back plus more in the last 3 days since I've been able to eat some solid foods! Oh well. At least the pain is minimal!!! YAY!
Anyway, I've also had 2 treatments of accupunture in the last 2 weeks. Coincodince??? I don't know, but I think I'll make another accupunture treatment in about a week, and then a month. See if I space them out, if it helps! And THANKS to my insurance company for NOT covering accupunture! So, I get the pleasure of paying cash.
Well, friends/family, please let me know your thoughts. Especially the ideas about the Glycerol Injection. And if anyone wants to fund my procedure, I can supply you with my paypal address, so you can add funds. ;)
Until next time....
