is it possible for tn to disappear never to return?
I have been told yes but it sounds like a wonderful dream to me. Has yours disappeared? If so I hope you stay pain free.

My doc says that he only knows the longest remission period to be 10yrs (which would be great if that would happen for me) but from what he said and i have read...it will ALWAYS return after the period of remission and usually with avengence.
I've been researching on here and the TNA website for over 2 years....
pretty sure - that you only go into remission - remission could be a week/month/year/decade
TN does not heal itself - it's always there, whether active or not
sometimes hard to accept... That's why we have groups like this!

no mine hasn't gone away i am just living in hope.....only been suffering for 3weeks and i feel my life has been stolen. its u unbearable
Mine went into remission after 8-9 months…I had an 8 year remission!
When it came back, I managed well for almost 2 years until it became resistant to meds…now awaiting mvd.
Anything is possible…always have hope!
I had long periods (almost a year at a time) of remission, but everytime it returned, it was worse than the last time. I understand this is normal. Finally had MVD and very happy so far.
AMANDAPANDA: Are you getting good meds?????
