Well, the next time I come up with the bright idea to have a nerve block someone shoot me please!!! I just got home and my tongue feels like an elephant has planted itself in my mouth. Yes, I am numb but the burning sensation running up and down my cheek and nose is almost too much to bare. The zingers in my tongue and in my jaw I think are worse than before he injected me! He says he thinks my pain is peripheral and caused by a botched root canal. My next stop is the neurosurgeon in Portland too see about possibly repairing the nerve. All I know is that if I had to live with my face numb and burning like this for the rest of my life I think I would have to have a big party and have my husband take my out back…
With all the advances in medicine there has got to be something they can do for us than the options I have been given! Sorry to complain, I feel like crap, my face still hurts and all I want to do is lay in bed and wait for this to wear off.
