I have had TN since around June and taking 350mg tegretol.over the past week i have developed a small lump on my gum line and have a very tender right jaw.i cannot even touch it.i imagine it is a swollen lymph node along my jaw bone.has any one had this happen.i have a dentist appointment this morning but she keeps saying my teeth are fine.my dr is happy for me to increase my teg by 50mg over a few days.i see dr again in 10 days.any suggestion??
Well had my appointment.xray confirmed an abscess on a molar that had a root canal many years ago.have had the tooth extracted since I have had enough of the drama of that tooth in particular.3 fillings and a root canal over the past 5 years so thought time to go.i have been put on antibiotics for a week and than she suggests I try to reduce my tegretol to see if my TN is still there.a bit scary but will give it a go since that tooth has always been a trigger point for my TN.
