Summertime Question

I suffer from pain on my right side. One of the things that make it worse is wind, fans, AC, etc. My dilema is that we have a ceiling fan in our bedroom. My husband turns this on sometimes to sleep. He has to get up at 5:30 in the morning and is a mechanic so really needs to be alert to do his job so sleep is really important for him. When the fan runs I have to sleep with a blanket over my head which is really uncomfortable. A lot of time I am able to shut the fan off in the middle of the night but the damage is done by the to the side of my head.
I don’t want my husband to be miserable because he does need sleep to be alert for his job and I need to not be putting myself in pain. I have thought about sleeping with a winter hat on my head. I would love any suggestions to my dilema.

I so appreciate your situation. The wind/air also triggered pain for me. Ultimately I found a solution that worked in the bed. (problem being I could not hold the sheet away from my head… and fall asleep). So I began using my husbands ball cap. I could lay this on my face… with the open part touching my trigger areas… and then pull the sheet up over my head w/o it touching.

I always said something needed to be invented for just this problem. But we “made do” and it worked.

Hope this helps you.

Is there any way you can lie on the other side of your face (if it is unilateral), my TN is always much less trouble if I make a concerted effort to lie on the good side (right for me) which is a nuisance as that makes me face my hubby’s bedside light - but he let’s me turn it off and then I feel terrible as he smashes his shins fumblng round in the dark - ho hum
Mmm - though I see now that you would have to lie on your TN side to stop the wind…tough…

Lizzie I thought I that but I would have to lie on my TN side of my head which is the right side of my head.
