Stress and TN?

Little is known about the exact cause of TN, so i was questioning the likelihood of stress being a factor in the causation of TN.

Is there a mind/body link that contributes to metaphysical causes of disease?

e.g.. I understand that if you stand in a cold room, you become cold. That is to say you do not catch a cold, however you stand more chance of catching a cold from standing in that room.

So would it be fair to say that being placed under stress and having a buildup of pressure on your head could trigger something like TN? You can of corse argue the point that being under pressure or stress has nothing to do with TN.

I personally don’t think stress causes TN but it certainly can aggravate it.

The most recent thing I read…on autopsies…many have compressed nerves where ours are… But never get tn…so many are born or grow into the anatomy of it…and then I know that one true cause that can pull that trigger is whiplash or head or face injury…

Some little kids have this…we need a telethon !!!

Stress makes tn worse and tn makes stress worse … We do all know that here for sure!

Yeah, I didn't think so. Thanks for getting back to about it though.

I see where you are coming from, I have found it a vicious circle with stress and TN. But causation is still such a grey aria.

Thanks

Go to the TNA website…that’s where research base is!

My TN kicked in and sent me to the ER for the very first time during an extremely stressful situation at work. My thought was that the stress might have made the artery finally break through the myelin sheath where the compression is.

Do you have the wed address at all?

Thank you

Did your doctor think it could have been a contributing factor? I only ask as i to was going though extreme pressure due to stress at work.

Thanks
