Speech change

has anyone else's speech changed?I feel like there is a knife under my tounge about 99% of the time so i try not to move my tounge a certain way. can barely finish half a sentence before i have to stop because of the pain. i sound like i've had a stroke. New here so i hope im posting right.=)

Laura you are posting exactly right. My speech is not good when my pain is active as I can barely move my mouth without going into spasm. On the other hand my hearing perception has changed drastically while I have been on Tegretol. My pitch has changed and certain sounds are so different.

Well duh.. You know i never thought about the connection with my loss of hearing. Its on the right side The side most affected.. I was thinking the other night i was going deaf in that ear. I'm taking trileptal and zonisamide. They have horrible side effects on their own. I was told the last time i went in to double my dose of the zonisamide again and just cant do it.. its killing my kidneys I can not wait to get off these things.. Although after reading the ATN chat i dont know if the MVD will help me. Still gonna try it though.. If we dont try.. Then we never know=) Hugs Hope you have a painfree say=)

One of my closest TN friends doesn't even talk anymore because it causes her so much pain. :(
