Thursday night,I collasped on the kitchen floor,my husband caught me before I banged my head.He said,it looked like I had a stroke. He called the ambulance, and the paramedics said my left eye wasnt dilating,my pupil was huge, and there was something wrong.Got to the hospital, they checked for a stroke and heart attack, but the doctors said no.Admitted me in,and did so many test, especially mris on me of my head, eyes and brain. The doctor said he thinks it was a seizure, plus he seen I had an extra blood vessel on my left side, where I suffer from the tn.Seen the eye doctor, and the eye doctor thinks the trigeminal neuralgia caused this with my eye.Now I have a very hard seeing and my eyesight is really bad.She said it could come back to normal but doesnt really know, putting eye drops in 4times a day.Did anyone ever hear of this happening?
Your description has some of the character of an arterio-vascular malformation (AVM) compressing the optic nerve. You can have that issue as WELL as having a stroke. It should be specifically evaluated for, even if only to eliminate that possibility.
