So confused

did the dentist do anything different due to the TN? I may need a tooth pulled. I fear the tooth pulling making it worse. Do the dentists 'put us out' for dental work?

I tried to reply to you and wrote a long one - but somehow, when I tried to send it - it disappeared. Maybe it's for the best. Just make sure you look on Healthgrades.com for a high rated oral surgeon. Yes, the shots of Novocaine and injury to your jaw might upset the T nerves, but it's a risk you have to take. I asked about anesthesia but since I don't have dental insurance so it was too expensive for me, but since you have TN, avoiding Novocaine would be a good option if you can afford it or have insurance. Regarding healthgrades.com - look not only for 5 star rating, but a large number of reviews. If only 2 or 3 people responded, it's not a good indication. I went to a really BAD oral surgeon before I learned this. Good luck.
