Hi Friends,
A very dear friends has hooked me up with what I consider an important supplement to Striking Back. TN affects more than the “victim” and often friends and family are at a loss as to how to respond. Actually anyone with illness, be it chronic, terminal or cureable, will appreciate their people reading the book. The book is called How to be a Friend to a Friend who’s Sick by Letty Cottin Pogrebin. It is written by a woman who decide to spend her daily radiation therapy appointments for cancer visiting with other patients. As she spoke with others she discovered what they had found helpful or hurtful in their interactions with friends and family. I have found the book so insightful and helpful. I hope you find the energy to read this book. It will change how you interact with friends who are sick. I wish you many painfree days and a bounty of sensitive friends.
