I have been to see my nuerologist and was sent for an MRI very shortly after.
Today i got the results and was told i need surgery for a Schwannoma tumour, which seems to be benign.
The tumour is pressing on the 5th cranial nerve, which is causing my pain.
This all happened very quickly. My question is does anybody have any experience of this?
My mri came up negative for tumors or M.S. but I wanted to wish you luck! Hopefully this will take care of your problem.
Just put tumor in the search box - there are others
On the groups tab - click and see if there is a group with brain tumors with TN

I don’t have any knowledge regarding tumours on the 5th cranial nerve, I’m happy to hear its benign!! Did your doctor explain the surgery?
Oh I hope they are able to remove it all and that your nerve heals and rids you of TN pain.
