Anyone NOT had an MRI or a CT scan?

I am being treated by a Pain Management doctor, and so far my pain is just getting worse. I have Atypical. My question is this: I have never had an MRI or a CT scan. Have you all had one or the other? Should I push for one? Just to rule out anything else going on.

I have to call the pain management doctor back in like 8 days to give them an update on a new med I am trying, and I am trying to compile as much info as I can, to help me make an informed decision as to whether to push for one or the other, or to just not even mention it.

If you have been diagnosed with TN you should definitely have an MRI to rule out a tumor pressing on the nerve or MS. As soon as I was diagnosed my doctor ordered an MRI while waiting to see the neurologist. It was good for the neurologist to have that to look at for my first appointment with him. They found a mass on my right frontal lobe that is not causing my TN but we're watching it. I had another 4 months later to see if the mass had changed. No change. Yay. Take good care.
