Recovering from second mvd

I am one week out of my second mvd surgery in less than a year. This time they booted me out of the hospital in 2 days so I have been just miserable with hardly anything for pain control. It’s seriously barbaric. Looking for other stories from people who have had multiple mvd surgeries. My surgeon said he was very aggressive with the nerve this time so on top of surgery pain my burning neuralgia pain is going off constantly. I know its only been a week since this last surgery but this pain is making me feel so hopeless. :frowning:

I'm so sorry this isn't working out for you --- The standard is to wait 1 year for the nerves to heal - But I guess some like you have to have another MVD within that year -- can you call the office and tell them you need something strong for pain????

It is unethical to let you suffer like that!!!

how long did you wait to have your second surgery? yes, please tell them you are in pain, they should not let you suffer like this. it is unfair the pain that they let us be in.

Heather, I hope if you haven’t already done so that you contact your surgeons office today. You need to have pain meds, how are you expected to heal peacefully without?!
Please call and advocate for yourself, or have someone do it for you!!
I hope you start to feel better with each day…take care of you! ((Hugs))
Was this mvd on the same side as your first, or do you have bilateral TN?
Thinking of you, Mimi
