Please help :(

Im having a really bad day and cant cope its down both side and hurting to even blink :’( xx

Hi Ashley, so sorry you feel so very bad. I am new to all this so don't have a lot of advice except to try to stay calm, breath slow.

Hugs

Im new aswell and its killing me :frowning: im so sick of being in pain 24/7 its so draining… Hope ur ok aswell hugs xx

I am fine, don't worry about me. When I have pain, I can't do anything except pace. I can't lay down or even sit down sometimes so I just pace and talk to myself in my head. Can you soak in a tub of warm water or do something to distract yourself?

I no when it goes on a bad turn i cant do anything iv not found anything at all that helps… And iv got a two year old to contend with so no relaxing till bed time xx

Hi Ashley, I have terrible pain in my eye, it feels like razor blades on the inside of my eyelid. I've found that ice helps me - but not right on the eye. I get some frozen veggies and wrap on around the base of my skull/side of my head that hurts.

Can you put on a movie or tv show that your little one likes and take 20 minutes?

Hope you can find something to help, this is exhausting and awful and draining, it helps to have people who understand what you're going through.

(((hugs)))

Stephanie

I think the best thing out of this is noing you lot understand and are kind and helpful…
I would put him tele on but he doesnt watch it just to make my life a little more complicated we think he has autisim so he has to have me with him and have ny 100% attention 24/7 but right now i just cant move so hes gone into meltdown xx

Bless you...I am sorry you know this pain...especially with a 2 year old! The meltdown sounds bad, but it might wear him down to a point of being tired, and after my attacks, I can always nap, too.

But for now, know I am praying for you and this to pass...and a miracle to calm your son. Bless you....

Hey didnt calm just bit himself headbutted the wall and screames an hour n half roll on his daddy cummin home at 6.
As for my pain well thats still awful its none stop no relief in between xx

So sorry. I will keep you in my prayers and send you a (((((((((((((BIG HUG))))))))))))))

hang in there!! Ice to numb the nerves

Hi Ashley, sorry to hear you’re struggling with the pain AND having to care for your child…
I hope this reply finds you feeling better. I have found that a microwaveable heating pad has helped me tremedously to help take the edge off. Funny how some of us use heat and others cold… Whatever works, it’s trial and error.
When I was first diagnosed my youngest was 4 or 5 yrs old, ( she’s now 15 ) I had playdoh handy with plastic cookie cutters, a piece of cardboard ( an old box flattened) that I drew streets and houses and trees etc and took out the matchbox cars for her to pretend with.
Sometimes just a plastic bowl with soapy water, wooden spoons and smaller bowls to play with.
I’m sure you’ve tried the same or similar things…it’s difficult to manage pain and care for young children. Hope you’re feeling better Ashley!
(( hugs ))

Hi, i have used the microwave pads and they have helped a little, yeah my little one likes cars n trains so iv got every single one out haha nd his town mat n train tracks give him lots to do but the bowl with soapy water nd spoons sounds good… Its silly isnt it im in this much pain just because i took my boy to the park and it was cold. hugs xxx

To be fair iv not tried ice il give it ago later xx

Thank you all for your help and kind words its got me through, and touch wood i think the worst is over  just aching now with headache so fingers crossed its done xxxx

I am sorry your days have been bad. Just last week I felt like I couldnt go on. Now today, although still in pain, I am loads better. Just remember this beast will try to tear you down a little bit at a time.
Find something, anything that helps you to relax. I find after I relax I am able to fight harder again.

I hope you find your method.

Hi Ashley
Just reading this now. You are in my thoughts. And your little guy too. That’s a big job you have with this truly shattering pain. Keep warm. I find wrapping a big scarf or pashmina around my rib cage helps too.
