Are you a side sleeper? If so try the side sleeper pillow. It’s available at walmart.com
I am a side sleeper with a super short neck-s the regular side sleeper ones don’t work for me.
The one I’m talking about is shaped like a candy cane, it curves around your shoulder and down your back. My neck is short too, I have trouble with dangle earrings hitting my shoulder, and this pillow is great for me. I really believe it’s helped with ATN because of how it aligns/supports the neck.

This my sound weird but for 7.99 and bed bath and beyond Contour sells a memory foam leg pillow for wedging between your knees. It is the only head pillow I find comfortable. Ironically it is the same shape as what they put under peoples heads at the morgue lmao. But seriously I have spent hundreds on pillows and this cheap thing works great!!!

I sleep on my stomach with my face to the side. Sometimes when I have pain I sleep with that side pressed in the pillow and the pressure seems to help. That is when pain is only in jaw. When I have temple and ear pain I have to sleep with my head directly on pillow and me looking up. I can’t even have blanket touch my cheek. I too have a pillow from Wal-Mart that cost $6.
