I’m going down quickly. My big attack and TN dx was almost exactly a week ago. The neuro put me on 200mg tregretol 3x a day and on the third day, I cut back to 100mg twice per day. I know, what a dummy. A few hours ago I had a metallic taste from my top right molar. It felt strange, like maybe I lost a filling or something was stuck there but everything looked fine. Now I feel a heaviness, little jabs, pain on the roof of my mouth on the right side. I took another 100mg of tregretol and wondering of I should take more? Take the hydro condone? Wait and see if pain progresses? I can tolerate it, just worried it may escalate out of control.

Sorry it is firing up again...I have been feeling a bit of strangeness myself tonight--wondering if it is the cold weather--the temp dropped dramatically today and I was out with the dog in the woods... I was thinking maybe I should start up again on the tegretol myself... it is such dance with this... probably a good idea for you to up the tegretol and then stay on it for awhile--pain or no pain.. just to be sure things are settled down... the other hard part is now i think any pain anywhere in my head is my tn... when it could be a headache or even a legit tooth ache... I don't know what's what anymore!!
I find I have to keep turning it over to God..again and again and again.....
