haven't been to the site in a while.... after having MVD, my pain returned, as many said it would. it has progressively gotten worse, and to add to that, i am still experiencing a lot of post surgical pain. (2.5 months)
recently, the pain has increased from the normal second branch, above my top teeth, and in my cheek
to the third branch, under my bottom teeth. the pain is constant. and between levels 5-9 daily.
the reason i am concerned, is because i recently found a "lump" under my jaw bone, near my lymphnodes in my neck. it feels connected to the bone, but when i touch it...shooting pain runs through my trigeminal nerve.
i am out of state, (just moved to IN from WA and new insurance hasn't kicked in yet.) I went to the ER but they suggested that I see a neurologist, and did not perform any tests.
has anyone had anything similar? or heard of this type of "lump" that when touched creates level ten pain immediately? i am trying to get insurance straightened out so I can see the doctor soon.
Yes and I have good new for you it not releatived to tn , it just a gum infection , there not much they can do for it , my comes and go but it doesn’t give me any pain just uncomfortable , I been getting them on and off for the last 2 years. Am sorry your pain come back after mvd but do you still have any numbness , I had the op 2 year ago am grateful I have no tn pain but my whole left side of my head and face is numb , they told me it will never come back , do u know anyone that gone longer with numbness and got feeling back , am just looking for hope ?..
I thought doing the surgery in your case was worth a shot ... there was a chance it would work !
They do say that the nerve can play up for a while after the surgery due to it being poked and proded as they remove the blood vessels from around it... so there is a chance that this is what you are experiencing and it will recede with time.
