I have been using magnesium every night just before bed to help me sleep. For those of us on Gabapentin, I believe we need to wait two hours before or after a dose to take the magnesium. I am actually up right now waiting a few more minutes to pass so I can take my night dose of Gabapentin.

I thought this article had great information about magnesium. It also talks about things that deplete or make it hard to absorb. Which is valuable information.

Thanks Tree - this is great information. I also shared this with 2 other forums I belong to for Occipital and Trigeminal Neuralgia, and they are very appreciative! I myself started using it about 2-3 weeks ago and have noticed that my night time GERD is gone and also that terrible problem of constipation is no longer a problem. Yeah Magnesium!!
