Living Again

It’s been a long while since I was on here.

Early last year I was seriously looking into MVD, checked with several doctors, even the Cleveland Clinic. Then my neurologist said, try a warmer climate. I moved to Texas in March of 2009 and the reason I haven’t logged on much is because I’ve got some semblance of a life again. Since March I have not had the need to go rushing to the ER for pain relief. I seriously believe the climate changed helped a lot. Ohio’s winters were really bad and simply going out for mail triggered an attack. I had slowly weaned myself off medication, much to my neurologists chagrin, but as I said, I haven’t had major attacks and I really hated feeling stupid. My case was what they call atypical, I get that constant “pencil in my eye” or “coca cola up the nose” feeling and every so often, used to get the electrified ice pick. But NO ice picks (over the pain scale of 6, at least) for the last 9 Months.

I’ve gone back to teaching, appreciating the hugs and kisses my Kindergarten kids give me and each day, I pray that everyone else get this much relief from their pain. As I said, it hasn’t gone away completely but I am living again.

Thanks to Ro~ for the updates you send. I may not be able to come online and post as much as when I was not working but you and everybody’s intentions are in my prayers.

May all of us have a pain free evening, day, week, month, or life.

That is great that you’ve been able to control your pain somewhat! I always thought that the cold weather here in Ohio may have had something to do with things. After kids get older, I may consider moving south.
Hope you have a good day!

Good Stuff, Gia!

I don’t know where I was LAST YEAR, the date of this Blog…well, I suspect I was taking enough meds to put down a horse and most probably self-absorbed.

I’m grateful to Ro and so many other members.

Glad you are able to pop in, as you did today, with warming and heartfelt discussion.
