I am free of pain!

I too do crafts , stayiung busy keeps heklps the brain block out pain. But want to share my experience with trigeminal neuralgia sufferers. I did not want to have a third brain surgery, so I began to web search for acupuncture which I had read on Occasional helps. I started my first acupuncture treatment December 27. Have had one every week for 4 weeks, my pain is gone. This is such a relief, I was having pain every ten minutes and shooting up into my head. Couldn't eat or sleep, and had to stay busy during the day. If anyone is interested the M.D. who is doing my acupuncture has a website. Dr. Robert Kelly, M. D. at the Cleveland Clinic. He is so caring , takes his time with me.

And yes, I do many crafts, am right now working on paper houses.Watercolor painted a picture this afternoon. Also do quilting, counted cross stitch and love to bake and decorate cookies. Jeanne Ryan from Sandusky, Ohio.

Welcome Jeanne, great you are having relief

Hey that’s great news! I haven’t tried this x

This is nice to hear Jeanne. I have been thinking of trying Acupuncture also and if my pain gets worse I am going to do it. Thank you for sharing this positive news! Mary

Thanks for sharing your experience. Is the needle placement the same each time and did he indicate to you the meridians he was working or can you tell us some of the areas the needles were placed? Curious because I do acupressure work in my massage therapy and have an electronic acupuncture machine as well.

We also have a local physician who employs acupuncture in his practice and I have seen a difference in one of my fibromyalgia clients who suffers with significant muscle pain.

Are you still going every week? or is he suggesting a once a month follow-up? And are you using meds as well?

Mary Helen ; Please read my respons to Laura's reply. Do try it , no since leaving the pain get so bad you can't tolerate it. Jeanne

I've been thinking of trying acupuncture as well. So good to hear that it worked for you! -Laura

Wow! I’m so glad you took the time to write. I’ve been teetering on whether or not to have acupuncture. I’ve had 2 brain surgeries, one that left me completely paralyzed on my right side for years. I now have about 90% of my mobility back, with most being lost in my right ankle/foot area. I’m in California, and I’m a patient at the Stanford Pain Management clinic near San Francisco. I will begin discussions with my team of doctors. Thank you!

I also craft. I’ve had to give up quilting and counted cross stitch since my right hand isn’t as strong and steady as it used to be. I scrapbook, bake and take pride in decorating cakes. I took all the courses in professional cake decorating from Michael’s. I also love photography interior design.

Thanks for Sharing Jeanne and so nice to hear this helped you. I was only recently thinking of trying acupuncture for my dad. I will go right ahead with it, it is very encouraging.

Thanks again!

Savitha

How are you? Hope all is well. Would love an update.
