Flying and TN

I’m still learning so much about TN. Was curious what experiences you had when it came to air travel and if or how it effected your TN. I try not to but find myself thinking of new “fears” this disease is causing me.

Thanks for your input!

The more I learn about TN the less I want to know but the less I know about TN the more I want to learn!

I have flown several times since my diagnosis, and have not really noticed any difference.

I fly about 25 trips a year and it's never been an issue with my TN :)

The more you learn, the less pain you can possibly have to endure!,!

I flew twice before MVD …no difference.

I flew to my MVD didnt hurt it… We Drove home. I was afraid.

5 months after mvd no problem…nor five other trips since.

I have flown several times since TN came to stay. I did not notice any increase in pain with flying.

I have not had any increase in pain when i fly but i do make sure i have a scarf with me to cover my lower face if the aircon is cold. First thing I do when I sit down is to make sure the vent above me is closed or at least not pointing at my face.

Hi Heather

No issues, but would definitely agree with what Trish has written about taking a scarf with you and if it's a long flight, rest up.
