Experience with flying? Cause pain to be worse?

I have an appointment to see a neurosurgeon that is far away from where I live. So I am planning on flying. I’m a tad bit afraid it may cause me to be in severe pain due to the pressure of going up and coming down. Any stories you can share?

Thanks!

Nicole

Nichole, I fly once, sometimes twice a week on business, and I've not had any issues with flying. I have the severe electric shock pain that is triggered by other things, but not by flying.

Nichole - I fly a ton for work as well and it's never been a problem at all.

No flying pain here ---- however leaning into the wind on a cruiseship handrail on the balcony - ewwwwwww ouch

Just not open cockpit you.d probably jump out to stop the pain.I'm a pilot and had to ground myself.

I flew a week after I was diagnosed with this and the flying didn't seem to effect the level of pain I was already in. It was the embarrassment of being sat next to a stranger whilst having to hold my face every half hour or so that got to me but I got through it.......having a couple of those little bottles of wine you can get during the flight may of also helped ha ha!

Thanks everyone! I just didn’t know if the pressure going up or coming down made an impact in the pain. I already hurt so bad that I don’t want anything to make it worse.

God bless!
