Disability Tax Credit - Canada

Does anyone know if TN counts as a disability in terms of tax credits in Canada? I know that I need my doc to fill out a form for me (my husband's an accountant so we know that side of things). We just aren't sure if TN qualifies or not. I know they tend to ignore a lot of invisible diseases.

Hi, It took 13 months but I finally was accepted for CPPD for TN. Long process, but it worked out for me. Not sure what tax credits I get being disabled now???

I don’t need disability pay…we’re just looking at the tax credit. My husband found the info. The criteria is that it affects daily life and that you take mess at least 3 times a week

Here’s a link to the PDF outlining the criteria.

I didn’t know this was available. Thanks for pointing it out!

Is there still time to submit this for 2013?

Glad I could help :D It will actually double our return so hopefully my doc will sign the form.

I really need to educate myself on this topic…

I forgot to respond to your part about doing it for last year. Along with your form write a note on a separate paper asking for a T1 adjustment for 2013 (You can go up to 5 years back if you were diagnosed earlier). They won't look at that year until at least June of this year but they'll go back.
