It has been 6 weeks since my GK and two days ago I developed a constant “crawly feeling” on the entire side of my face, not just the usual affected points. At first I felt an occasional “spider web” accross my face but it went away very quickly. This sensation is a little different though. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi Sharon,
I don’t have that feeling exactly but I have feelings where the nerve seems to be zapping with no pain. Also if I am driving with the wind blowing on me and my hair touches that side of my face, I get a strange feeling but it’s hard to describe. It doesn’t hurt but it just feels weird!!
Jamie
That is kind of how it started with the wind blowing but now it is constant. It is a really weird and strange feeling. Yesterday Dr put me back on low dose of Baclofen to try to help but has not helped yet. Thanks!

Hope you feel better soon:)
I’ve woken up in the middle of the night thinking something was on my face then realized there wasn’t. It felt like a tingly crawly feeling. This was before my recent diagnosis. The feeling turned to pain in the same area.
Hi Nancy,
I am going to try pretending that I don’t feel it. Never thought of that. I hope you are pain free! Thanks for you response.

Hi Sharon, I get weird feelings on my face that aren’t pain but weird. Today when I was driving home with the window down I had this crawling feeling on the top of my head which is new. I decided that I would pretend I wasn’t having it. I don’t need anything new. It worked and went away. I was thinking well crap what next!
Tammy that is what I am afraid of! I had GAmma 6 weeks ago and the pain is almost gone but then this weird stuff started. Hoping and praying it does not mean the pain is coming back! Hope you are pain free!

I started on 1200mg of neurontin 2 weeks ago. It helps but the pain is still there. Had to buy some ensure and a blender for smoothies because I avoid eating. My neurologist was out sick but the nurse said to increase to 1500 until the dr is back. It seems the tingly feeling is when it works enough to keep the major pain at bay. The last 2 days my lips are always tingly. Weird feeling. I complained to drs about that years ago. 10 years ago they put me on carbamazepine and tegretol for what I thought was migraines. Now I want to get those records to see. I was so busy with college and newly seperated from my husband that I just took the pills and didn’t really ask many questions. Then I thought it was related to the rheumatoid arthritis. My new hemotologist ( for abnormal blood work) just ordered an MRI too. What fun.
