Majority of the time I am not in pain but have this feeling that my right side of my brain has a hand on it ready to grip it. What I have been feeling constantly is my face swallow and numb as if I had a shot of Novocain this moves back and forth on both sides. I look in the mirror and I am absolutly fine. I had to keep reminding myself that nobody can see this it's just the way it feels. I was on Tegretol 200 mg but I had allergic reaction where it felt like bugs was crawlilng on my face. So I am not taking any medications until I go back to see my MD at the end of Nov. 2010.

Great question! My snappy answer would be none, to speak of…however, it used to be a anxiety/paranoia/panic/fear of PAIN.
I’m not sure of what happened; I cannot say that I embrace PAIN, though I am grateful to be able to, more often than not, deal with it.

i have constant numbness on the right side (TN side) on my soso days. good days i’m great no issue and can be a normal person. soso days i have numbness that starts on the jaw line goes up all the way to the under part of my eyes and from nose to ear. yes it feels like novican and feels like the whole side of my face is down lower (like a stroke victim) it makes my eyes go blurry at times and the right side forhead to temple is slight pain and a lot of preasure. on soso days anything becomes a trigger and can send me into pressure and pain.
other side effects i regularly had is memory loss, hard time speaking (i know what i want to say but can’t put it all together to say it) EXTREME exhaustion!
this site is a huge help, somethings i was having issues with i didn’t realize were related to TN till i found it on here.

Thank you Mellisa, I know the pain is the worst but those days I don't have any pain it's a reminder everyday that I have TN because my face feels swollen and heavy. And I wanted to know if this was for everybody? Sometimes my forehead gets so tight I think somebody shot me up with Botox while I was sleep. Thank you too because I've been having problems with my speech and I thought it was just me having a lot on my mind. Please take care. Thomasena
