For the past several weeks, my pain has been really well controlled.... I am on day 2 of this cold that has settled in my sinus', throat, and ears.... yesterday, no problem. But all the nose blowing and pressure in my head has the zaps coming back. They are more annoying than anything but I am living in fear that what is annoying will be something more soon.
I tried a saline rinse of my nose to get the congestion out.... OWIE! Not doing that again at all. That was so painful that I could not even imagine putting myself through that again.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Lisa, I am so sorry that you are feeling so crummy. That stinks. When I have a cold, it definitely aggravates my nerve pain, so you are not alone. Also, I have noticed that when I am sick, the nerve pain seems heightened. It won’t stay that way, though.
Here are some simple things that help me get over a cold more quickly: Gargling with salt water, taking black elderberry tincture (there is an alcohol free version) and drinking hot teas (like Gypsy Cold Care).
I hope that you feel better ASAP.
Take care,
Chris
Gargling for SURE. What I am more concerned about is aggravating the nerve by the sinus pressure and blowing my nose. Alka Seltzer is keeping me feeling a bit more better. But right now things are draining and it is scaring me a bit.
